Denver area pop culture fans have been chanting “is it time yet” for over two years. No thanks to the pandemic this Starfestian dry spell has been felt across the region by nerds of all ages who love to gather at their favorite event of the year, StarFest. Yet, things are looking up this year. Two Trek favorites, Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner have already committed to attending, and more celebs announcements are in the works. Calendars are being marked and hotel reservations are being made for May 13th-15th, 2022.

This year’s StarFest will make its move to the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. Well-known for hosting events such as these, this Hyatt offers nicely-sized conference rooms, very nice accommodations, and an atrium area that is bright and spacious. For those unfamiliar with the venue, there are two floors of space for vendors, activities, and mingling. There is also a restaurant, a pool, and this gorgeous staircase that is perfect for cosplay photos! Rooms always sell out so be sure to reserve that room for the weekend by clicking here.

All the “Fests,” all the fun.

Under the umbrella of StarFest there are mini-cons such as KlingonFest, HorrorFest, ComicFest, GameFest, ArtFest, ModelFest, and so much more. They’re planning a Meet & Greet, an escape room, Texas Hold ’em, and of course, the big Saturday night Federation Ball! Anyone familiar with StarFest knows that even if only a couple of celebrity guests are announced, the organizers are hard at work behind the scenes and never fail to come through with amazing guests. Check back to their website and follow their socials for up-to-date announcements.

Another plus to StarFest is that the tickets are always reasonably priced. This year it’s priced at $65 in advance, $69 at the door for the three days and $125 in advance, and $129 at the door for VIP. For those who can only squeeze in one day, there are single-day ticket prices. All the ticket information can be found on their website.
