I am proud to announce that I, Elijah Perrin, a fellow card-carrying nerd and pocket protector wearing fashionista was approached by one of the most recognizable and capable astrophysicists Neil deGrasse Tyson to review his newest season of “Cosmos: Possible Worlds.” I proudly accepted this offer since this series of documentaries grew out of the love many nerds of yesteryear remember called “Cosmos: A Personal Voyage of 1980” with presenter Carl Sagan evolving into one of the most memorable educational series of the modern era presented by Neil deGrasse Tyson. It is possible some of our readers may not be aware of the “Cosmos” Series featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson created in 2014 that started our journey through the stars, this 6-year-old series much like the original by Carl Sagan is a timeless presentation of knowledge in a useful and entertaining setting, precisely written and richly produced captivating even the most experienced audience and introducing the world of nerdom to the uninitiated.
Neil deGrasse Tyson returns to his role in “Cosmos: Possible Worlds” 2020 as presenter and host in this 13 episode rollercoaster of science. Hardly requiring an introduction of this acclaimed author, world-renowned educator or walking science to the human translator as I like to call him and astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson is truly the perfect person to lead this project bringing an approach to science and terminology every person can understand and appreciate. With a doctorate from Columbia University thanks to his astounding Thesis “A Study of the Abundance Distributions Along the Minor Axis of the Galactic Bulge” among other educational accolades Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson has been the cornerstone to of modern scientific review and education earning the respect and trust of his academic peers.

I know from experience nerds around the world will unite with me in hoisting this series high above our heads as an example of how to educate and inform while recognizing we all are at different stages of nerdom from the newly initiated to veterans who framed their nerd cards on their walls with Carl Sagan 40 years ago.
