Steven He has a hit on his hands after uncovering an old sci-fi series from 1972 that was made by his grandfather. According to He, the show was so bad it was canceled before it even aired. It was cursed by a shoestring budget and the incompetence of the production team. This lost classic focused on a team of heroes that battles, as He puts it, monsters, monsters, and more monsters! Thankfully it has been resurrected and recreated called “Ginormo” It premiered May 12, 2023, on He’s YouTube channel and it is pretty much an unintentional comedy masterpiece. The 6-episode series has new content each Friday with episode 1 called “A Show So Bad It never AIRED.”
It’s Ginorming time!
Created by Ken Mok and Steven He, the series follows the Super Protection Force (SPF) as they protect the world from the evil organization, Beast Advanced Artillery Division (BAAD). Of course, BAAD seeks to take over the world using the most “terrifying” monsters ever created. It is certainly an attention grabber with its bright costumes, purposeful over-acting, clever music, and cheezy special effects. It is honestly pretty perfect! It has cats and dogs flying their own spaceships, a necessary teenage sidekick. There’s no need to take my word for it. Check out some of the comments on He’s YouTube channel.
