Next Saturday, July 31st, 2021, Fan Expo HQ Hosts Summer PopUP to benefit Colorado’s Pop Culture Classroom.
Pop Culture Classroom’s Summer PopUP is a new one-day, in-person event to educate, inspire, and connect kids and families through the power of comics, video games, and other pop culture featuring entertaining and educational sessions with creative professionals and educators, interactive workshops, art demos, and other family fun.
One the day’s menu are:
- FREE comics from our presenting sponsor Hall of Justice Comics and Collectibles.
- Live parkour and stunt demonstrations from APEX DENVER.
- Design and draw your own characters, with tips from professional artists and storytellers.
- Learn to dance like a superhero with the Colorado Ballet.
- Travel through time — and learn local history — with the Aurora History Museum.
- Explore the exciting world of air and space travel with Wings of the Rockies Air and Space Museum.
And much more! Tickets are on sale here. The location is at the Parker Arts, Culture & Events Center at 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, CO.
Bonus, sales from each ticket sold benefit the whole reason behind hosting these events, Colorado’s Pop Culture Classroom. Its mission is to promote literacy, learning, creative self-expression, and more inclusive communities. AND, OF COURSE, pop culture fans in Colorado have something big to look forward to this October. Fan Expo Denver: Special Edition will be taking over the Colorado Convention Center October 29-31, 2021.
Just in time for Halloween, this Fan Expo Denver will be the organization’s very first event in Colorado after they joined forces with Pop Culture Classroom earlier this year. The well-known event organizer is bringing to Denver an event 75% of its normal size, but with everything, fans are used to such as panels, amazing vendors, workshops, and Author Alley, and Artist Valley.
Celebrity guests? Yes, absolutely, and the names keep rolling in. Recently announced was “Doctor Who’s Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, and “Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto. Along with these guests are William Shatner, Michael Rooker, James Marsters, Jennifer Morrison, just announced was “Justice League’s Ray Fisher. Comic fans can look forward to guest announcements soon.
Former Denver Pop Culture Con attendees will be glad to hear that a portion of the event proceeds will still support Pop Culture Classroom and its work to promote literacy, learning, imagination, and inclusive communities through pop culture. Educator’s Day will also be included in this event.
