The highly-anticipated event happens this Saturday, May 7, 2022, at participating comic book stores across the country. To find a participating store click here. There will be new comics, samplers of comics, and maybe some magazines about comics. What a great way to encourage novice readers to explore the world of comics, as well as get the diehards out to patron their local comic book stores. The main focus will be on three DC and three Marvel comic books that will be available on Saturday. Nicely coordinated, they are coinciding with the release of the “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” movie.
Marvel is offering Avengers/X-Men/Eternals: Judgment Day #0, Spider-Man/Venom #1, and Marvel Voices #1, and DC is offering Dark Crisis #0 and sampler editions of Galaxy: The Prettiest Star and DC: League of Super-Pets.
Speaking of fabulous new comic books, did you know that there are comics for Dolly Parton fans? Just out, there’s a new Dolly Parton comic that focuses on her philanthropy and her legacy. It’s by TidalWave Comics and it’s a 24-page comic book that happens to be a sequel to the best-selling “Female Force: Dolly Parton” issue. Readers will enjoy learning more about Dolly’s life and focus on her giving back to her fans, charities, and more.
