In the age of COVID-19, conventions have had a hard time. Online alternatives have been growing, like NanCon, July 18th of this month. GalaxyCon has been busy getting talent for its online con. William Shatner, the original Captain Kirk, will be the GalaxyCon guest for a live chat event on July 11, 2020, at noon ET, or 2 pm MT.
GalaxyCon has some interesting guests lined up such as Tim Curry, the Doctors of “Star Trek,” “Doctor Who” companions, and more, but Captain Kirk, William Shatner has to be the big attraction.
The good news? The event is free. But you know it will be a mob chat, and you may not really rise above the crowd. Still, don’t we all ask a lot of the same questions? I just want to see him; he is funny and interesting and has great stories.
The bad news? The one on one chats and autographs and all the rest will cost you. A personalized autograph will set you back $100, and a one minute one on one is $145. No doubt the 89-year-old actor still has plenty of fans to take all of the available packages.
