Disney Plus has released the official trailer for their new original series, “Hawkeye” set to stream on November 24th. The series will start returning MCU cast member, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton known as his superhero name, Hawkeye. The show will also star Hailee Steinfeld who will be playing long-time marvel character, Kate Bishop. Bishop in this iteration does not seem to be related to Barton as some comic storylines have been written in the past.

The series will be a holiday-themed action-packed dramedy, mostly taking place during Christmas time in New York. The trailer shows Barton enjoying a well-deserved holiday with his family when a vigilante with a bow and arrow is catching media attention. He investigates and meets Bishop who he seemingly teams up with to take down a foe, all the while trying to be home for Christmas with his family.

The trailer is filled with dramatic action sequences that Marvel is known for, as well as a great deal of comedy ensues between the characters. A notable easter egg seen in the promo trailer is a new “Captain America” musical that seems to be on Broadway, “Rogers The Musical”.

The relationship between Barton and Bishop seems to be one of mentor and student, though Bishop is shown to have a mastery level of archery by the time she meets up with Barton. In the trailer, she can be heard calling herself ‘The world’s greatest archer”.  There is also a dog that seems to accompany the duo on their heroic adventures.(L-R): Hawkeye/Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) in Marvel Studios' LOKI, exclusively on Disney+. The series cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Florence Pugh has also been confirmed to be in the new series. Linda Cardellini, Laura Barton, was not seen in the trailer but fans are hopeful to see her make an appearance as Hawkeye’s wife.

The series will run for eight episodes long, and sure to be packed with the best of the MCU. Be sure to tune into Disney Plus on November 24th to stream the series.
