Although the script may have changed due to COVID-19, the ending stays the same. Months ago, the last page of the ‘Supernatural’ script was posted on twitter. Today, Jensen Ackles shared the last lines of the final script with fans on his Instagram and the words remained the same. After 326 scripts ending with the famous “To Be Continued….” now, we are left with only two words, “The End.”
Chuck told us all at the end of Season 5 that, “Endings are hard,” and those words have never rang more true than today as the cast and crew of “Supernatural” began filming the last episode after 15 years. Emotions were naturally high and it seems as though this is all becoming more real to them and to the fans watching from home.
Jared Padalecki took to social media this afternoon with a message of appreciation to the show and the SPN Family. Jensen Ackles shared his emotional video moments later.
As the days move closer to wrapping up the show, there is no doubt that many more moments will follow. Some will, of course, be private and some are sure to be shared.
All we can really do is say “Thank You, We Love You, and keep the tissues coming.”
The remaining seven episodes of Supernatural are scheduled to air on the CW beginning October 8th.
