The votes are in! Taking the lead with 67.4% of the votes, Jared Padalecki takes home the win as Performer of the Month in SpoilerTV’s monthly poll. His winning performance in “Supernatural” episode 14.12, ‘Prophet and Loss’ was one of his most powerful and emotional performances to date.
Sam Winchester (Padalecki) was doing his best at coming to terms with his brother Dean’s (Jensen Ackles) decision to trap himself and Michael, who is still taking up residence inside Dean’s head, in a warded box and have it tossed to the bottom of the ocean.
Sam did his best to follow his brother’s wishes until the end of the episode when he could no longer contain his feelings or emotions. After a punch to the face, some heartfelt words and a brotherly hug, Dean decided against his plan and told Sam they could go home.
Jared’s performance brought me to tears for the first time in a very long time while watching an episode. I felt every emotion that was being portrayed on screen. It was truly brilliant. A very well deserved win for Jared and the entire “Supernatural” family!
