It’s been an incredible two months for “Supernatural” fans. Jensen Ackles has won Spoiler TV’s Performer of the Month award for the month of February. This win follows that of fellow Supernatural star Jared Padalecki’s win for his performance in episode 14.12, “Prophet and Loss.”
Jensen’s win for his stellar performance in episode 14.13 entitled ‘Lebanon’ should come as no surprise. The episode was also a milestone for the sci-fi show, it was the shows 300th episode.
With the (un)expected return of John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) the family’s patriarch, Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) was able to confront his father and heal some old wounds from his past.
Jensen delivered such an emotional performance that had me in tears myself. For Dean, getting that closure was something that was long overdue.
The “Supernatural” fandom has suggested on more than one occasion that Jensen Ackles deserves an Emmy for his talent and I absolutely agree. But for now we’ll rejoice in Jensen’s win as Performer of the Month.
