Do we really need another “Beverly Hills Cop” movie after all these years? Sure, why not?!
This just in, Netflix announced the addition of Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Looper) and Taylour Paige (Zola, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) to the cast of “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.” Production has begun and many of the details are under wraps. What we know so far is that it is directed by Mark Molloy and written by Will Beall known for “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” “Aquaman,” and “Gangster Squad.” The project’s producers are Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman for Jerry Bruckheimer Films, and Eddie Murphy
Per IMDB, the film welcomes back Eddie Murphy, Judge Reinhold as Det. Billy Rosewood, Paul Reiser as Jeffrey, and John Ashton as Sgt. John Taggart to the cast. The original 1984 film was followed by sequels and a video game and made more than $300 million at the box office.
