Laurence Fishburne hosts History Channel’s new series “History’s Greatest Mysteries.” John Wilkes Booth may have faked his death in a burning barn, and not surprisingly there is new evidence that there was a cover-up to hide fatal mistakes that caused the sinking of the Titanic. Premiering tonight, Nov. 14, 9/8c, fans will follow along with “The Matrix” favorite actor to figure out the truth behind one of America’s biggest unsolved mysteries.
To kick things off, tonight viewers will find out who “D.B. Cooper” was and determine how he escaped via parachute after hijacking a Boeing 727 in 1971. This guy hijacked a plane, grabbed $200,000 in ransom money, four parachutes, and jumped out of the plane while still in the air. In today’s dollars, it would have been closer to $1.2 million. The FBI searched for 45 years and finally gave up in 2016, and now The History Channel spotlights this as their first episode of the new series.
History Channel offers up some amazing shows to quench that thirst for learning. “Ancient Aliens” has astounded and entertained for 16 seasons. Other popular shows include “Pawn Stars,” “The Curse of Oak Island,” “American Pickers,” “Vikings,” and more. Catch up with The History Channel to excite the senses and exercise that brain.
