Many CW fans may not have wanted the show “Legacies” to be a success. I have to say I for one was a little apprehensive at first. I was one of the many fans of “The Vampire Diaries” and the spinoff the “Originals.” I was pleasantly surprised after watching the first season, it did a great job making it have that same feeling that both shows had. It felt like a new generation while still bringing in people from the original show.

Even though it had its own feel it keeps the main heart of the series that came before it. The first season of the show followed Hope Mikaelson to the Salvatore school which was a school that Caroline Forbes started for kids that had unique abilities. These abilities can range from vampires, witches, werewolves, and so much more. The first season had great writing and I was so impressed how they have taken three generations of shows and still manage to keep the story going, and they take a fresh new approach every week.

We have only one character that was in all three shows and that character is Alaric Saltzman. I for one was happy to finally see more of his character development through this show. He is the headmaster at the Salvatore school with his two daughters Josie and Lizzie. They have grown up at this place all their lives. They are twin witches which comes from “The Vampire Diaries.” We are in season two right now and again I’m blown away with the writing and story line. The amount of originality and difference made throughout each episode leaves us wanting more. For those who haven’t seen the show and are fans of either “The Vampire Diaries” or “The Originals” I recommend this show. Even if you are a little apprehensive give it a shot, I for one think that you won’t be disappointed.

Here is a taste of CW’s “Legacies.”
