“Mama Bear” has done it again! Matt Cohen’s suspense and action-packed short has added two more awards to its collection. The Santa Monica Web Fest has crowned Cohen’s film “Best Short” and honored Jeffery Vincent Parise with “Best Actor” for his role in the short.
This may be Parise’s first win for the short, but “Mama Bear” has won awards at festivals such as Hollyshorts, the Los Angeles Olympus Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Cohen has even mentioned his hopes of turning the short into a feature-length film.
