Marvel is serving up a heaping dose of entertainment this year 2020. From movies to games, and even some highly anticipated shows on the small screen. Not only that, but there are so many new comics coming our way and even more adventures to be had at Disney parks around the globe.

Let’s start with the exciting things coming on the silver screen. Scarlett Johansson shows off her hero moves yet again, but this time sans the rest of the Avengers, in Marvels “Black Widow”. Natasha Romanoff is dealt a blast from the past while taking on another assassin, the taskmaster. Scarlett is joined by David Harbour (Stranger Things, Hellboy), Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Little Women), O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Rachel Weisz (The Bourne Legacy, Oz The Great and Powerful). The movie is set to release on May 1st.

Another movie to keep an eye out for is “The Eternals”.

This is a new team of heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The movie is about a group of aliens who have been living on Earth in hiding. It is set to follow the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and given the events that happen (no spoilers!), our heroes are forced to reveal themselves in order to defend the Earth against their enemies, the Deviants. The cast includes Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, and Kit Harrington. This is bound to be an exciting film and is scheduled to release in November.

Marvel is also airing the 7th and final season of “Agents of Shield” on ABC this year. If you haven’t watched this series, it features Agent Phil Coulson, back from the dead, who leads a team of agents against the strange and unexplainable all around the globe. This final season includes some time travel to help wrap up the series.

Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackey reprise their roles as Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson in the Disney Plus original series “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”. The series follows Bucky and Sam’s adventures after the events of “Avenger’s Endgame” and will premiere in the fall. Others who are reprising their roles in upcoming series are Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision. This series was originally set to be released in 2021, but has been moved up to the end of this year!

Another show that can be viewed on Disney’s streaming service, is “Hero Project.” This is a feel-good, non-scripted show about kids who have done something heroic in their community. The show helps to honor these kids and make them feel like real-life super-heroes in different ways. One of those ways is by making them heroes in their own original comic books, which can be read at marvel.com/heroproject. Stream the show on Disney Plus now.

Not to be left out, Marvel’s Avengers game is coming in the fall! This will have a single-player story as well as a multi-player component and will be released on Playstation, Xbox, Stadia, and Microsoft Windows. Looking for a game on the go? Look no further than Marvel’s Realm of Champions! It will be for the mobile platform and is a real-time role-playing game that allows players to align with a house to survive the arena. Virtual reality fans can also suit up in the new Marvel’s Iron Man VR to help save the world and save Iron Man. This was originally set to release this month but has been delayed until May.

For those fans who enjoy vacationing at Disney parks, the Avengers campus is expected to open this summer at Disneyland California. This park promises heroic adventures and encounters at every turn.

Finally, for comic book fans, there are a ton of new comics to look forward to this year. This includes Spiderwoman, Strange Academy, Savage Avengers, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier, Gwen Stacy, Nebula, Iron Man 2020, and so much more.
