Heads up, Denver! GalactiCon just added two amazing news guests to their lineup: Mason Alexander Park and Jesse James Keitel.

Mason Alexander Park stars as The Emcee in the current West End revival of Cabaret, and can be seen as Dr. Ian Wright in NBC’s “Quantum Leap” sequel series, Gren in the Netflix live-action adaptation of “Cowboy Bebop,” Desire in Neil Gaiman’s “The Sandman,” and in Amazon’s “Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina.” Best known for playing the titular role in the Broadway National Tour of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” they can also be found in the film Before You Know It,  and such TV shows as “Broadway or Bust” and “Becoming and Artist” on PBS, or “iCarly” and “Bucket and Skinner’s Epic Adventures” on Nickelodeon.

“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” fans know Jesse James Keitel from her spot on the show as Dr. Aspen, and “Big Sky” viewers love her as Jerrie Kennedy. Keitel’s groundbreaking casting in “Big Sky” made history marking her as ABC’s first openly transgender series regular. She is an actress, writer, and artist from eastern Long Island, NY, and has been an advocate in moving the needle for the LGBTQ+ community’s timely representation in Hollywood and was honored with the Equality Award by the Human Rights Campaign in 2022.

Other stand-out guests include Todd Stashwick (Star Trek: Picard), Denise Crosby (Star Trek: TNG, Walking Dead), Rick Worthy (Supernatural), Omid Abtahi (The Mandalorian), J.G. Hertzler (Star Trek: DS9), Ross Mullan (Doctor Who). Talented creators such as Carrie Vaughn, Dan Madsen, and Matt Haslam will be on hand to meet as well.

Grab your chance to meet all of these talents up close and in person this Nov. 24-26, 2023. Yes, it’s Thanksgiving Weekend, and what better time to spend time with the whole family or step away for a much-needed escape?! And, no stranger to some of our favorite fan conventions, the Denver Marriott Tech Center is hosting the inaugural event. This event will usher in a new era for Denver area fans. It will be filled with celebrity guests from our favorite shows and movies, a dealers room full of the stuff we love, panels, comics artists and authors, literary discussions, kids activities, Cosplay, Fantasy, “Star Trek,” “Star Wars,” and so many other fandoms. Come find video gaming, board gaming, and most importantly, hanging out with old friends while making new ones. An event by fans, for fans, this convention will help to fill that StarFest-sized hole that many people have in their hearts.
