The League of Legends series Arcane is going into the second round: It was just announced that the hit will get a second season. This is hardly surprising in view of the number of viewers, but fans are still happy. There is no release date yet, but the second season will not appear before 2023.
Riot Games, the company behind the Moba League of Legends, has not only spread its franchise with the help of other video games but has now also made the leap into the series industry – and without a start. “Arcane” has thrilled millions of viewers worldwide on Netflix within a very short time and critics almost exclusively have words of praise for the series.
So it was only a matter of time before a second season of the series was announced. Nevertheless, fans can be happy that this has now actually happened from the official site. A first teaser has already been published on Twitter, even if it doesn’t really reveal anything. Towards the end, the howling of a wolf indicates the appearance of a certain character.
When does the second season of “Arcane” come out?
The CEO of Riot Games, Nicolo Laurent, also speaks out in view of the announcement: “So yeah, we are working on Arcane season 2.

So you shouldn’t expect more episodes of the successful series before 2023, it will probably take longer. However, with the first season, of course, the foundation stone was laid and many things like character designs and story flow no longer have to be shaken off the sleeve, hence Laurent’s statement that fans won’t wait another six years.
It remains exciting to see whether the episode will be released at the same rate as the episodes of season 1. The first season of “Arcane” consisted of nine episodes, with three new episodes appearing each week for over three weeks. If you haven’t given “Arcane” a chance, now may be the time. In the foreground of the series are the two sisters Vi and Jinx, who eke out their existence as orphans in the dangerous and shabby alleys of the city of Zaun. You are at war with the rival city of Piltover and soon Vi and Jinx find themselves not only between the fronts, but also on different sides.
