Netflix offers comedy, drama, sci-fi, horror, anime, and more at the tip of our fingertips. The industry giant streaming service runs the gambit. Certainly, not all of the shows are Emmy contenders, but many are certainly entertaining. “Lucifer” wrapped up recently, and “Squid Game” currently has viewers binging their hearts out. November is just ahead and there is a variety of content that can keep most any viewer interested.
Probably the most anticipated show for November, and for some fans for the year, is “Cowboy Bebop.” Calendars are already marked in anticipation of the air date, November 19th.
Based on the beloved anime series, “Cowboy Bebop” is described as an action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, aka “cowboys,” all trying to outrun the past. As different as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir), and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price. But they can only kick and quip their way out of so many scuffles before their pasts finally catch up with them.
‘Wonder Woman’ herself Gal Gadot will be joined by Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds.
When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted— goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop” (Gal Gadot). The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company. The all star cast is joined by Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopolous. Directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, Skyscraper) and produced by Hiram Garcia, Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, Beau Flynn’s Flynn Picture Co. and Thurber’s Bad Version, Inc., Red Notice is a stylish globe-trotting game of cat-and-mouse (and cat). This film airs in select theaters on November 12th.
Ah, it’s that time of year again. Holiday movies that people can often relate to, such as four feuding sisters that get a crash course in family togetherness when their long-lost father shows up for Christmas at their posh ancestral manor. The cast includes John Cleese, Kelsey Grammer, Elizabeth Hurley, Caroline Quentin, Kris Marshall, Ray Fearon, Talulah Riley, Nathalie Cox, April Bowlby, and Naomi Frederick. This premieres on November 7th.
Still in the Christmas spirit, there is a romantic comedy starring The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev. The synopsis is an LA girl, unlucky in love, falls for an East Coast guy on a dating app and decides to surprise him for the holidays, only to discover that she’s been catfished. This lighthearted romantic comedy chronicles her attempt to reel in love. Airdate is set for November 5th.
Switching gears to the dramatic, “Narcos: Mexico” is back November 5th. Fans are anxious to see the rise of El Chapo and Netflix’s series always keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Synopsis reads:
Set in the 90s, when the globalization of the drug business ignites, Season 3 examines the war that breaks out after Felix’s arrest. As newly independent cartels struggle to survive political upheaval and escalating violence, a new generation of Mexican kingpins emerge. But in this war, truth is the first casualty – and every arrest, murder and take-done only pushes real victory further away.
Netflix has something for everyone. “Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 2” The five-episode series comes out on November 23rd. Here is the synopsis:
The war for Eternia continues in the second part of “Masters of the Universe: Revelation,” an innovative and action-packed animated series that picks up where the iconic characters left off. With Skeletor now wielding the Sword of Power, the weary heroes of Eternia must band together to fight back against the forces of evil in a thrilling and epic conclusion to the two-part series.
