We all love one another very much.

Patrick Stewart reflected on his “Trek” journey last Sat. Apr. 15, 2023, at Deadline’s Contenders panel for Paramount+. The iconic starship captain talked about how he could still remember the feedback that he received back in 1987 when he was offered the chance to first play Captain Jean-Luc Picard. I was advised by people who knew our industry very well that there was little chance that this show, whether I did it or not, was going to be a success. You cannot revive an iconic show like “Star Trek,” you can’t do it. You’ll be lucky to make it halfway through the season. He added that he relished the idea of coming to California to get a suntan and meet some girls!

He went on to share that more importantly, he was about to make some money for the first time in his life. I was a stage actor. I was happy to be working. Based on what I was being advised, that I was not going to complete the first season, I said yes. it’s the smartest thing, except for marrying my American wife, that I have ever made.

And now ‘Picard’ will wrap its third and final season this coming Thurs., Apr. 19th. This highly anticipated event will also be celebrated across select IMAX theaters with a live screening of the series finale, followed by a streamed Q&A with the show’s stars including Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, and Jeri Ryan.

We all love one another very much, Stewart said of the cast. You can’t be part of this show, even though for 20 years we didn’t make Star Trek, we were away from it for a very long time. It has held on. It’s been strong. That’s a lot of people who are responsible for that. We’ve been very, very lucky with the people writing and directing our shows. It has been extraordinary. It’s going to be an emotional ride for “Star Trek” fans, and we here at Nerd Alert News will be glued to Paramount+ for the finale.

In the thrilling conclusion of Picard, we’ll hear a desperate message from a long-lost friend who draws Starfleet legend Admiral Jean-Luc Picard into the most daring mission of his life. It will force him to recruit allies spanning generations old and new. This final adventure sets him on a collision course with the legacy of his past and explosive, new revelations that will alter the fate of the Federation forever.
