Whovians will be spending New Year’s Day with “The Doctor” thanks to BBC America.
Start off by opening presents with The Doctor by binge-watching the Christmas specials starting at 12 pm ET/PT Dec. 24, 2018 through Christmas Day on BBC America. Just imagine sharing coffee cake and Earl Grey tea with The Doctor and his companions. Then, roll on into the New Year with the very first “Who Year’s Day” special on BBC America Jan. 1, 2019. This fresh new episode was written by Who showrunner Chris Chibnall and directed by Wayne Yip of “Dirk Gentley’s Holistic Detective Agency” fame. The Doctor will have her crew by her side to battle evil across centuries of Earth’s history. Guest stars include Tosin Cole (Ryan), Bradley Walsh (Graham), and Mandip Gill (Yaz).
Always a fan favorite, this annual special will be watched around the world. Mark those calendars with the finale of this current season Sun, Dec. 9th 8pm/7C, and then New Year’s Day.
