When Stephen King recommends a horror title, fans of spooky entertainment take notice. His latest recommendation just started on Netflix.
The best-selling author is responsible for some of the most popular stories of all, and numerous film adaptations of his works are classics in film history; even if King isn’t always taken with some (*cough* “Shining” *cough*). While the author has also penned a number of beautiful non-horror-related titles—the adaptation of The Shawshank Redemption has been named IMDb’s best film of all time for years.
That’s why it should be only right for cult director Guillermo del Toro that Stephen King is currently praising his new Netflix horror series “Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities” in the highest tones. King finally write on Twitter:
I strongly advise you to open Guillermo del Toro's CABINET OF CURIOSITIES, starting tomorrow on Netflix. Scary, sinister, and beautiful to look at.

“Cabinet of Curiosities” is bursting with star power
Not only Stephen King is enthusiastic about Guillermo del Toro’s latest series. At Rotten Tomatoes, “Cabinet of Curiosities” enjoys a strong critics’ score of 89% and the following verdict:
“Horror maestro Guillermo del Toro lends his household name to a collection of spooky tales directed by genre veterans and promising newcomers — with each curious trinket adding up to a treasure trove of gothic storytelling.”
Cabinet of Curiosities is an anthology series made up of eight separate, detached stories, all of which are now available to stream on Netflix. Guillermo del Toro provided the basis for the episodes “Los 36” and “The Murmuring”, and he also co-wrote the screenplay for the first episode. The series also attracts a remarkable line-up of stars: Tim Blake Nelson, Rupert Grint, Andrew Lincoln, F. Murray Abraham, Dan Stevens, Crispin Glover, Ben Barnes, and Sofia Boutella are just a few of the well-known actors who you can expect to see in the Netflix horror tip.
