“Space:1999” fans met up July 14, 2018 at famous Linger restaurant in Downtown Denver at one of Powys famous Media’s Mini Cons. Powys Media manager Bill Latham hosted today’s event. Author of many popular “Space: 1999” and “The Prisoner” books and audiobooks, music CDs and soundtracks, Bill treated the cozy group to delicious tapas and cocktails along with some cool Powys swag that included some of his sought-after books. It was a spontaneous social event sponsored by Powys Media where instead of fans shelling out paychecks to attend a convention, Powys did the opposite. On this beautiful Saturday afternoon, the group hung out with a few fans and reminisced some of their favorite of Latham’s books and, of course, the cult favorite Gerry Anderson series from the 70s “Space:1999” that starred Martin Landau and Barbara Bain.
