Welcome back to our ‘Supernatural’ countdown to the Season 15 premiere, where we have been sharing stories and lessons from some of our fans. I would like to thank everyone involved. I hope you’ve been enjoying everything so far. Now onto our fourth submission.

The next story comes to us from Patricia Price (@sgabblog)

As a ‘Supernatural’ fan, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the lessons I personally was taught by the characters and actors themselves.

One lesson, in particular, struck me hard last year when I went to my first convention. Rob Benedict gave some excellent advice and I’ve tried to stick with it. He said that no matter what you do, do it for you. It doesn’t matter if there’s one person watching or listening, or a thousand. This was said at a time in my life when I was discouraged about the lack of engagement in my own content that I create in my spare time.

The classic “family don’t end in blood” still rings true for me. I’ve only been in this fandom for a few years, but I can most certainly say that we are family. I don’t see the actors as just another famous face on the television screen. I see human beings that know and acknowledge their struggles. They connect with their fans in a special way because of that.

While there are many other things I’ve been taught, I’d like to stop here with a very important one. I’ve always been very self-conscious about how different I am. But it was quite a push to my limits in a positive way when Misha told his fans it’s okay to be a little different. It’s what makes us unique. We’ve all got something that we’re self-conscious about, but we should embrace it.

Today I will leave you with this:

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL IN YOUR OWN SPECIAL WAY!
