“Star Trek: Picard” is coming to an end. A first trailer for the third season puts you in the mood for Patrick Stewart’s final appearance as the iconic Captain Picard.
Patrick Stewart has brought to life a variety of iconic roles in his more than 60-year acting career. In addition to his performances on the theater stage, there are above all the portrayals as Professor Charles Xavier in the “X-Men” films and as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the “Star Trek” universe. Now a trailer for “Star Trek: Picard” season 3 has been released, which lets the British star slip into the iconic role for the last time.
Patrick Stewart played Jean-Luc Picard in 176 episodes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation.” This was followed by four feature films, eleven video games, two short films, and guest appearances in “Family Guy” and “Robot Chicken”. In 2020 the series “Star Trek: Picard” started, which now brings the story of the spaceship captain to a well-deserved end with the third season.

What can we expect in Star Trek: Picard Season 3
The grand finale of “Star Trek: Picard” takes the titular Captain to a new ship: the U.S.S. Titanium. As IndieWire reports, Season 3 will also feature the old crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise reuniting to save Dr. Save Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden). But as Stewart explained during a panel discussion, it won’t be a reunion in the traditional sense:
It is not a reunion. It is an essential gathering of all of the essential elements of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” coming together to do what they do best.
Terry Matalas, Showrunner and Executive Producer of “Star Trek: Picard” Season 3 previously shared what we can expect from the last ten episodes:
“It’s most fitting that the story of Jean-Luc Picard ends honoring the beginning, with his dearest and most loyal friends from the U.S.S. Enterprise. It would be an understatement to say that giving these characters a proper send-off is an honor. The entire “Star Trek: Picard” team and I can’t wait for fans to experience this final, high-stakes, starship-bound adventure in Season 3.”
“Star Trek: Picard” Season 3 premieres February 16 on Paramount+.
