As most of us know, “Supernatural” is currently on a very long six-week hiatus (also known as hellatus) that is driving us crazy. But that hasn’t stopped the whirlwind of exciting news and updates sweeping over the fandom.

Jared set to star in “Walker Texas Ranger” reboot

Not too long ago it was announced that a “Walker Texas Ranger” reboot was in the works with our very own Jared Padalecki set to be the lead as well as the executive producer. Recently more details on CW’s “Walker” have come to light. Cast members such as “The 100” star Lindsey Morgan and “Pretty Little Liars” star Keegan Allen will play the female lead, Micki, and Walker’s conservative gay brother, Liam. The most exciting cast announcement has to be Mitch Pileggi who previously played Padalecki’s grandfather on “Supernatural,” will play Walker’s father.

Jensen celebrates his birthday

This week Jensen celebrated his 42nd birthday the only way he knows how by partying. This time last year he was preparing to be King Bacchus in the New Orleans Mardi Gras. He may not have been king this year, but that didn’t stop him from celebrating the event and joining the parade. This also marks the last time that Jensen will get to celebrate his birthday on the set of “Supernatural” which Jared reminded us in a very heartfelt Instagram post.

Misha continues to text fans

On October 11, 2019, Misha Collins took to social media with the brilliant idea of sharing his phone number with the world, and he’s continued to wreak havoc ever since. Recently he has been texting photos of ‘Cas’ in different places, with one of his most memorable being a photo of himself and Jensen with the caption, “It’s hard to say goodbye to the solid, dependable performers on a close-knit set. Recently, I shot the last scene I’ll ever shoot with Jensen Ackles’ robe…so I guess you can say, “that’s a wrap” on his wrap.”

Jared runs the Austin marathon

He’s done it, and jokingly regretted it, many times before, but Jared Padalecki took on yet another marathon. Plenty of fans cheered Jared on with the hashtag #RunPadsRun, including Gen who was nothing but proud of her husband. In the end, Jared finished in 3:47:50 which is pretty good.

Warner Bros commemorates Supernatural

Jared broke the news over Instagram recently with the emergence of a brand new poster outside of Warner Brothers’ studios. The outer walls of the studio are usually home to the posters of shows which are airing or have aired their final season. Jared spoke of his memories of driving past and seeing the F.R.I.E.N.D.S cast whilst he was filming Gilmore Girls.

JDM to premier in thriller based on James Patterson novel

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will star in a new film called The Postcard Killings which is based on James Patterson’s novel. JDM will play the lead role of Detective Jacob Kanon alongside Famke Janssen. The Postcard Killing premiers on March 13, 2020, but a trailer is out now.

Final episode titles released

Today IMDb put up the titles for some of the final episodes. We still don’t know what 1519 and 1520 will be called, but we now know the rest and fans are stressing over what these titles could mean.

Anael and Ruby are coming back

Supernatural’s Samantha Highfill broke the news on twitter this morning shocking the entire fandom. The angel Anael, Danneel Ackles, and the demon Ruby, Genevieve Padalecki, will both star in Season 15 Episode 16 ‘Destiny’s Child’ alongside Team Free Will 2.0.

Save the Bunker

A petition on change.org has arisen to save our favorite set, the Bunker. This comes about after Misha tweeted that the fan-favourite set would be ‘dismantled forever’ soon after filming finished. You can sign the petition HERE and help by sharing #SaveTheBunker.

Jared and Gen celebrate ten years

A couple brought together by our favourite show, Jared and Genevieve Padalecki, celebrated 10 years of marriage. On February 27, 2010, the co-stars held a winter wonderland style wedding in Idaho. The pair each took to social media to post beautiful throwback photos and loving messages.

Coronavirus hits Supernatural Las Vegas

A new rule has surfaced just days before Creation Entertainment’s Supernatural Las Vegas convention. Creation announced that there will be a strict ‘no touching’ policy for photo ops and a no gifts policy for autographs. This rule came about as the Coronavirus has worsened. JDM reaches out to young bullied boy

Quaden Bayles is a nine-year-old Australian boy who recently captured hearts around the world when his mother posted a video of his reaction to being bullied. Jeffrey Dean Morgan took to twitter after seeing this to post a loving message. He calls Bayles his friend and invites him to meet him one day in a video that definitely brought tears to my eyes.
