To show us that they can still do it, Netflix is throwing out a pretty expensive movie and they get the help of two action directors who showed us, in the past, what they can do at Marvel.

With a budget of $200 million, “The Gray Man” is by far the most expensive film Netflix has produced. For the money, there is also a lot of star power – in front of and behind the camera. With Anthony and Joe Russo, two proven filmmakers take a seat in the director’s chair. As a reminder, we have them to thank for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, “Captain America: Civil War”, “Avengers: Infinity War”, and of course, “Avengers: Endgame”.

The most expensive Netflix film until now: “The Gray Man”

For quite a few Marvel fans, the best films from the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) to date. Financially a complete success and responsible for several billion US dollars in revenue. The Russo brothers take a break from the comic world and try their hand at an agent and action thriller with “The Gray Man”. However, if you think about it, her first Marvel film (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) was basically more of a political and action thriller.

A little foretaste in the official trailer:

But the new work also shines in front of the camera with a star cast. Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and even indie actor Billy Bob Thornton are on board. And what’s the point? In one sentence: A CIA agent reveals too much and is then hounded by his own colleagues. Dead or alive? The Agency prefers it cold, very cold.

“The Gray Man” has been in select cinemas since July 14 and will be available on Netflix from July 22.
