Paramount+ has released the trailer for the latest Taylor Sheridan show “Special Ops: Lioness” and Zoe Saldaña leads the star-studded cast that includes Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, Emmy Nominee Michael Kelly, “1883’s LaMonica Garrett, and Oscar Winner Morgan Freeman.
The espionage thriller was inspired by an actual U.S. Military program that follows the life of Joe (Saldaña) while she attempts to balance her personal and professional life as the tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror. Saldaña serves as Executive Producer and Academy Award Nominee Taylor Sheridan of “Yellowstone,” “Mayor of Kingstown,” “1883,” “1923,” and “Tulsa King” fame is at the helm.
More from Paramount+, the Lioness Program, overseen by Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman) and Donald Westfield (Kelly), enlists an aggressive Marine Raider named Cruz (De Oliveira) to operate undercover alongside Joe among the power brokers of State terrorism in the CIA’s efforts to thwart the next 9/11. “Special Ops: Lioness” will premiere globally on Sunday, July 23 exclusively on Paramount+ which viewers can enjoy with Showtime for only $11.99 a month. With Sheridan at the help, viewers can expect the same level of intense, gripping storytelling that he is known for. And no surprise there are other upcoming series in the works like “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” and “Land Man.” When does Taylor Sheridan sleep?!
