“Vikings: Valhalla” returns on January 12th and season 2 is looking promising. Kattegat has fallen and our heroes find themselves fugitives in Scandinavia. They are forced to test their ambitions and courage in the lands beyond the fjords of Kattegat. Their destinies altered and their dreams shattered, the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter) will need to make their way in this new world.
Set over a thousand years ago in the early 11th century this series does a good job picking up where the original History Channel “Vikings” left off. If you’re like me, you found yourselves caught up in the lives of Ragnar, Lagertha, Bjorn, Floki, and the rest. After a few years of a dry spell, I’m getting my Vikings fix again, and season two is looking to satisfy!
“Vikings: Valhalla” is executive produced by Jeb Stuart, Morgan O’Sullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer, and Paul Buccieri. Thankfully Michael Hirst is still involved as this new series is worth watching. Get caught up on Netflix before season 2 arrives on January 2nd.
