Do fans want to watch “Star Trek: Lower Decks” for free? Of course, they do!

Luckily, the first episode of the hot new series is available to stream, FREE, for one week on Pluto TV’s channels Star Trek, Pluto TV Sci-Fi, and Funny AF. The CBS All Access animated series began Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020, on CBS’s platform, and like all new platforms, viewers will need to pay a monthly fee to be able to enjoy the programming. New episodes will be available every Thursday.

People have “cut the cord” to cable and dish services in order to save money and stream what they like. This has changed our TV viewing into an a-la-carte culture. Pluto TV offers audiences totally free entertainment and for this week only, Trekkies can sample the Lower Decks before dishing out the money.

The all-new half-hour animated comedy series follows the support crew on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380. Ensigns Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Boimler (Jack Quaid), Rutherford (Eugene Cordero), and Tendi (Noël Wells) have to keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.
