Blue Protocol, a new anime MMORPG that could give many players exactly what they want right now: a focus on story and PvE experiences.

What is Blue Protocol?

It’s an MMORPG that focuses on telling an exciting story. In this, you embody a hero who travels 1,000 years into the past to prevent a catastrophe.  looks like a playable anime and puts great emphasis on cinematic cutscenes. There is even voice output during the story.

The MMORPG also wants to convince you with PvE group content but does without other MMO elements such as Housing Life Skills (e.g. fishing) and at least at the start PvP. To do this, you explore many dungeons and take on boss monsters in large raids. The fights feature a lot of fast-paced action.

The bearer of hope for some players

Why is it the MMORPG hope for many? The closed beta showed how great the interest in the game is. The test phase took place from April 24th to 27th and had to deal with a huge rush of players right from the start. Since Blue Protocol, as a themed park MMORPG, focuses on telling a story and completing quests in a group, players have long been getting a game that has no sandbox elements or a PvP focus.

Many seem to like that.

Those who have had the chance to test the MMORPG have high hopes that Blue Protocol could become the next big thing in the genre.

How did the beta go down? Youtuber and MMORPG expert “TheLazyPeonhas summarized his impressions of Blue Protocol in a video.

In summary, for some testers, it was refreshing to play an MMORPG that focuses on quests and team play. In addition, it is one of the best-looking anime MMORPGs out there.

The crafting system was well received and it is possible to level all classes with one character. However, Blue Brotocol does not have a real open world, only very large play areas.

Release

For now, the game will only be released in Japan. A worldwide release is not yet certain.
