Ghosts,” the hit supernatural comedy series, is looking forward to its highly anticipated third season. The show’s co-showrunners, Joe Wiseman and Joe Port, along with stars Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar, recently joined Deadline’s Contenders TV event to give fans a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming season. One of the topics discussed was conspiracy theories. Wiseman and Port revealed that they enjoy incorporating them into the show because they add an extra layer of intrigue. In season 3, viewers can expect to see more conspiracy theories, particularly involving the ghosts’ past lives and how they ended up haunting the mansion.

In terms of what’s next for the show, the co-showrunners teased that the ghosts will face new threats and challenges that will test their relationships and loyalties. They also hinted at the possibility of new characters being introduced, including more ghosts from different time periods. Overall, fans can expect season 3 of “Ghosts” to be just as entertaining and hilarious as the previous two seasons. With the addition of new conspiracy theories, the continued development of Samantha and Jay’s relationship, and new challenges for the ghosts to face, the show is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Wiseman spilled some details at the recent Deadline Contenders TV a few weeks ago. We ended [the current season] with a cliffhanger we can’t talk about yet. But we also, in the episode before the finale, we solve Alberta’s murder, which has been a season-long mystery that we’ve been [working on], and all the characters have [these] ongoing storylines that we can touch on every now and then, you know?

Wiseman continued…we have a huge cast, which is the strength of the show; we can go in so many different directions because everyone is just a home run hitter. But we also have a lot of characters to service. It’s so exciting to have different friends to play with and to have different dynamics. Each time you put sort of a different two or three people in a room, it brings out different sides to everybody. It’s like Sam has many facets, and she’s one person with Hetty, she’s one person with Nigel or somebody else. So, I just love that, and I think you get to see the textures really pop more and more throughout the season and hopefully into Season 3 as well.

If you haven’t watched “Ghosts” yet, now is the perfect time to catch up before season 3 premieres. Catch up on Paramount+. The show has received critical acclaim for its clever writing, talented cast, and unique blend of humor and supernatural elements. The series follows a struggling young couple, Samantha, played by McIver, and Jay, played by Ambudkar, whose dreams come true when they inherit a beautiful country house, only to find it’s both falling apart and inhabited by many of the deceased previous residents. Brandon Scott Jones, Rebecca Wisocky, Richie Moriarty, and Danielle Pinnock also star. With the upcoming season set to be the best yet, “Ghosts” is a must-watch for any fan of comedy and the paranormal.
