A trio of Dinosaurs, Ewan McGregor, and J.J. Abrams promises to be a sci-fi trifecta with the upcoming film The End of Oak Street. Abrams taps David Robert Mitchell (“It Follows”) as the writer and director, and the movie has mega stars Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor leading the cast. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. quietly unveiled the first teaser for The End of Oak Street, and that the project was formerly known as Flowervale Street. It also stars Maisy Stella and Christian Convery, and just knowing that it is a Bad Robot Production, fans’ hopes are high.
There are not a lot of details out yet, but what can be gathered by the trailer is that a mysterious event rips Oak Street from its suburbs and transports it to the edge of some unknown Jurassic-looking place, world, or time. The main scene shows a stunned Anne Hathaway telling her frightened family, “I think our house, our neighborhood, our whole street has moved.” By the looks of the cars, homes, and costume design, the initial time period might be early to mid-70s, and the rest of the clip hints at survival in a possible Jurassic time period. Survival looks difficult as the family seems to be chased by dinosaurs through the streets of whatever remains of their neighborhood. Yes, dinosaurs. Let alone not falling off the edge of a cliff!
