The TV show ‘Smallville‘ was one of the CW’s most popular shows. Ranking in the top 10 in nearly all entertainment outlets. The 3-time Primetime Emmy Award-winning show premiered in October of 2001 and ran for 10 seasons. Until “Supernatural” topped 10 years, “Smallville” was the CW’s longest-running drama. The story followed a young Clark Kent as he navigated life in Kansas as a teen and young adult while coming to terms with his future as a superhero. Along his journey, he encounters other superheroes and villains including Aquaman, theGthe Arrow, Supergirl, and the Black Canary.
The casting of Tom Welling as Clark/ Superman and Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor was a key element for the show’s success. Welling and Rosenbaum are often revered as the best versions of the iconic characters.
